Free and Clear
Sabrina has had a plugged tear duct in her left eye since birth. All of the kids had one, but hers seemed to be taking forever to clear up. I usually have to wash her eye with warm water several times a day to keep it from getting gross and irritating her skin, and when I would go out with her, someone would usually ask if she had an eye infection. I’m not sure if they were concerned about her passing it on to their kids, or if they thought I was just a clueless mom. But, now I won’t have to explain it any more. Sabrina is free of her burdensome eye! Just over a week ago, I noticed that I hadn’t had to wash her eye that day, and then I thought and couldn’t remember doing it the day before either. And now it’s official. She hasn’t had a gooey eye for a week solid. It may seem silly, but it is pretty exciting news to me and Sabrina!
That IS great news! Each of my kids had one too, but each one had it for different lengths of time, and I hated the goopy look too. What a sweetheart Sabrina is, so cute! I am in love with her pretty hair, I love it all dolled up! How I wish Gracen would let me get her all prettied up, but she rips out any hair item I try and then has crazy hair afterwards.
Awesome. That stinks that both you and Sabrina had to put up with that for so long. I always felt bad when Wellsy woke up with one eye shut with that goop.
I hated Adlers clogged duct. It seemed like it took forever to clear up. I did all the massaging that the doctor told me to do but I think that it actually made it take longer to clear up. He was close to getting it cleared up by the doctor. I was so relieved that it didnt have to go that route.
I totally understand the excitement.
Yay! What a cute picture that is of her. So smiley and adorable.
I don’t think that is silly to be excited about that!!! What a victory! Darling picture of Sabrina too. Is she looking more like Hannah?
What a cutie! I bet she loves not needing her eye wiped clean anymore too. My kids hated that part the most.
Leo also had that for 6 mos. Strangers were like, “oh how cute how old is… ewww :o(” So glad that your goopy eye days are over! She is really growing up!
