We’re moving in a Week, and got a House Today!
Over the last several weeks we have been looking for a new house in Orange County. We had two different offers in on rentals, and long story short, neither one worked out. We have been working with a great agent and she set up some places to see again this week. On Tuesday, I farmed out the kids and brought Sabrina with me to check them out. Rob and I saw one that we really liked and put in an offer, again. We just got word that the place is ours! We are so excited and relieved. It will be a short commute for Rob and it’s right around the corner from the elementary school and two nice parks. We had already set the movers to come next Friday, so now we know where to tell them to take our stuff! The outside isn’t all that impressive, but inside there is lots of space and the yard is a good size for what is available in the area. I don’t have any official poll, but I thought it would be fun to hear your guesses on the year this house was built. It has a definite style and I’m wondering how close you can guess just by looking…
Auntie Lauralee’s guess is the house was built circa 1964. Looks very well maintained overall and has nice minimal maintenance in the front yard.
I asked everyone at my office to weigh in on a guess, and here is what they said: Angela 1955, Jake 1926, Peter 1973, Scott 1984.
How wonderful for you! Did you BUY or are you RENTING this house?
My guess is 1983. I’m so glad you found a house. I’m assuming you have an oven this time. So great! I have been thinking of your family a lot and how hard it must be to have Rob commuting such a large chunk of the day. The whole thing sounds wonderful. Merry Christmas, eh!
I have a hard enough time figuring out who my kids look like, Me or Gary. But I will guess 1974. How great to have so many things close by. Epecially Rob’s work, you might actually get to see him. 🙂
I was also thinking that it is great that you guys don’t have to stress about “where are we going to live” during Christmas.
Fun palm trees!
This house was built in 1979. Congratulations to Holly for being the closest guess!
