Some bad news and some good news
These last two weeks have been rough. As you may know, I am now a computer addict along with my husband. And our whole world has been turned upside down because our laptop crashed. Luckily we had a backup hard drive, and after many attempts, Rob was able to save most everything we need onto it. But in the mean time we are using this ancient computer that can’t even handle any word programs. This is why I have been a bit anti-social on the blog scene. If all I get for Christmas is the laptop up and running again, I’ll be happy.
In other news, we have found a new house in “OC.” We are really excited about it because it is right across the street from a great park, a ten minute drive to work, and walking distance to school. Nothing has been signed, but the owner seems to be set on letting us move in around New Years. Rob has been making the two hour commute and working long hours, so both of us are exhausted, and most of our conversations have been over the phone. Even today, Saturday, he had to put in a full days work. Ugh! I’m hoping that this is an end of the year crunch and that it won’t always be this demanding. I also have a really funny story about our crazy van and the alarm. I’m too tired to write it all out now, and still not really ready to laugh about it, but if I forget to post about it remind me later!
We have had that happen to us twice, so I totally sympathize with you! Hope you get it up and running again, and I am so excited you found a great place! That makes all of the difference. Especially walking distance from school, we are hoping for that in our next house. Oh it would be heaven!
the “OC”? “please dont call it that”. Can anyone tell me where that quote is from?
Arressted Development, Season 3. Tobias keeps calling it O.C. disorder instead of O.C.D. (or obssessive compulsive disorder). And yes, I know….I’m a nerd.
Sorry, I forgot to add that Michael said “Please don’t call it that.”
I swear, you don’t realize how dependent we are on computers until they DON’T work. It just seems to halt everything! I sure hope you guys get that house. It sounds perfect for your family’s needs. Hopefully this one has an oven, eh! 😉
I LOVE COMPUTERS. Scott would get NO Christmas without one. I wouldnt be able to find out how everone is doing since I dont get much phone time (atleast at a decent hour).
I am so glad you found a new house. That is so nice and I imagine takes off loads of stress. I am sure it is hard having Rob gone so much I know I would hate it. Especially if lots of his time away was spent in a car trying to get to us.
