Gotta Go!

Potty training is under way in our house. We’re working on Hannah, but I have a feeling that Sabrina won’t be too far behind.

Accident count: 4

Days in training: 3

The bribe: One M&M for each time she gets to the potty and is still dry, Two M&Ms for successfully going in the potty.

Cross your fingers that it sticks this time! So far we think she is doing great!

I loathe potty training with all of my heart. I hate the waiting game when I go to stores. “Will they stay dry? Will they tell me they need to go? Did I bring a change of clothes? Please don’t let it be number two!” The first few months when they are “officially potty trained” is filled with these same feelings of fear for me. Sorry I am such a downer, can you tell I hate potty training? Good Luck!

That is a great system. Maybe I will try that next time. I think it might go faster that way 🙂

We used M&M rewards, too. I first gave them to her for doing #2. She then tried to figure out how to get more and asked me if she could have some for #1. So, I let her for awhile and when she got really good at it I tried to change the reward since she was eating a lot of M&Ms! It became a little chocolate milk. Not much better, right? but, I told myself it was. 🙂 And she loved going to the store and picking out her special chocolate milk.

    Good luck!
