It Works 100% of the Time

Or so the claim goes. Have you seen the email circulating about curing a persistent cough by rubbing Vapo Rub on your feet and covering them with socks? I have tried this with Hannah, who has had a cough for a few weeks now, and it seems to help. She asks0 for the feet cream when she gets going on a real coughing fit. You can read more about it at snopes.com. Has anyone else had luck with this home remedy?

I have never tried it, but I have heard of doing this, so maybe I should give it a whirl since we have a lot of little coughers around our house these days. Thanks Amy!

I haven’t heard of it but if it works I won’t stop using it. I hate waking up to hacking kids. It has to hurt and they are grouchy the next day. Thanks

I have heard a lot about this lately and have tried the Johnson & Johnson children’s version of vapor rub just the past couple of nights with Owen. He still wakes up coughing, so I don’t know if it has to be Vicks or if he is just looking for an excuse to come into our bed…I am betting it is the later of the two. I think I will try it the next time I have a cough to really decide what I think. 🙂
