Why not your sleeve?

coughsleeve.jpg

Watch this video if you are a person that coughs and sneezes. I heard a few years ago that there was a movement to change the way we do this, and now I know it’s true. You could learn some valuable information about why it is important to cough and sneeze into fabric and not your hands! –And you’ll get a good laugh too.

They teach this in my childrens school, and I have tried to pass it on to my younger ones as well. The video is pretty cheesy, but it’s got a real point. Thanks Amy!

I learned about this method when I was working at SSI. You can imagine with so many clients and staff it was very important to keep everyone and everything germ-free as much as possible.

I can’t believe that I watched the whole video. I want those six minutes back. Just kidding. Thanks for passing this on, Amy.

Can we show this at church? Funny stuff. There are times I’d like a moratorium on shaking hands – especially during cold and flu season. I wash my hands frequently when among crowds, and try to avoid touching my face. At the end of a bout with a 2-week cold, I made resolutions – it just isn’t worth being careless.
