Preschool Twister
A few times we have played a family game of Twister as a fun activity. The kids all laugh and it is a silly game that makes us happy. The other day Hannah wanted to play it, and we had more fun than I expected. It turned out to be a nice teaching tool too. She loved putting her hands and feet on the colored dots as I called out, “put your hand on green, put your foot on red…” We’re not quite to rights and lefts yet, but what a fun way for her to practice her colors, her coordination, and get a little bit of exercise. It can be kind of like yoga with all of the stretching in crazy poses, right? Hannah and I took turns and she loved telling me what to do too. Sabrina had a blast slapping the mat and laughing as she crawled around. Who would have guessed Twister would be not only fun, but have a teaching purpose too?
We got Twister a few months ago and it is a huge hit here also. I thought that most of my kids were too young but they all had a great time. Estee and Taft loved the spinning not so much the sharing. It is a great family game. We also really love the Leap Frog Bingo it has 4+ games in one (shapes, colors, numbers, animals, and addition). All the kids could play. I liked that it had something for all my kids.
In order for Auntie Lauralee to play Twister, we would
need to have 911 on speed dial and an ambulance standing
by. It would not be a pretty scene. Does sound lotza fun!
I am going to look for this game the next time I venture out to the store, it sounds like so much fun, I know my kids would love it! Thanks Amy, I never would have thought of doing this, and I think it’s awesome!
We had a ton of games when we were growing up but we never owned this one. I always thought it looked so fun. I am sure my kids would love it.
Great idea! We have this game and haven’t attempted it for a while. Maybe we will try it this afternoon when it is too hot to be outside!
