Hunter’s Popped Pie
I have such a clever son. He was given an assignment at school to bring in something to class that he would try to “sell” to his classmates. The kids all make up a commercial for something, present it to the class, and then the class votes on whether they would buy it or not. Hunter didn’t want to bring in anything that already exists, he wanted to invent something. So he came up with the idea to make a trick pie. It took several tries before he found something to pop it up as high as he wanted, but he finally did it. He took an aluminum pie tin and cut two holes in the bottom. Then he made a pie top out of a paper plate and brown construction paper and attached the two strings to it. He got Rob’s help to cut a hole in the middle of a large sponge and then duct taped the sponge to the pie plate and the paper lid. You pull the strings to put the lid down, so it looks like a regular pie, and then you let go right when you bring the pie to the person and the lid pops right up in their face! He’s presenting it today and I’m sure it will be a huge success. Get yours now, and as Hunter says in his commerical, “it’s only $19.99! offers may vary…”
Hunter is so creative and clever. I love hearing the stories of our silly kids. My kids would love it. Great idea Hunter.
Hunter you’re pie sounds awesome! Seriously, that is so clever! I’m sure it will be a huge success. I would buy 4 and I haven’t even seen your commercial!
Sorry this is a comment about the homer quotes…was that your idea Amy or Robby’s, its funny, I like it.
The Simpson’s quotes were Rob’s idea, and I think they’re funny too, so I didn’t make him take them off.
Hunter,
I want to hear a follow up!! How did your class like your pie? I bet it was really “neat” (ha ha) You are so creative. You should write and tell uncle Matt about that. He would love it! I want to hear more about your night with dad. I bet he was so glad to have time with you. Can’t wait to see you.
